This is a compilation of footage shot of the 1900 Paris Exposition Universelle by the Thomas Edison film company. Unlike my other videos making use of the Library of Congress' American Memory archives, this film does not include the entirety of every piece of footage shot. Doing so would have resulted in a full half-hour film, much of which would have been very slow and repetative. Therefore, I trimmed the footage down to short, most exemplary scenes, such as the Eiffel Tower, Moving Boardwalk, the Seine, Palace of Electricity, Champs Elysees, Champs de Mars and Place de Invalides. In some cases, I also sped up the film to shorten the duration. The music is a bit anachronistic, as it is performed by Lucienne Boyer.
