Over the years I collected a fair number of wall warts for all those little projects that never materialised.
Out of curiosity I measured the idle current of one of these.
Yes, that is 19.3 mA you see there. Convincing enough for me, they are already one their way to the scrapyard. (Funny, but once you start generating your own power you get 'religous' over this)
I also measured a modern one. That is 0.6 mA you see there!
