Still cleaning up, found the prototype board for a large 3 digit display dated 2002.
The display is remote controlled, either wireless or by a sony TV remote control. You could enter a number on one display with the tv remote contol and then synchronise via wireless to the second display. Built around a PIC16F84 and some Maxim driver.
