energy
I finally bought one of these dirt cheap energy meters.
I also recently got a new washing machine with a A+++ energy rating since I tend to care about this (an extra 100 euro for the third +).
Obviously it is full of electronics and my fear turned out to be true: it consumes 5W in 'off' position. No wonder it is nowhere mentioned in the 'specs'. Needless to say I pulled the plug. Consuming 5W for doing nothing is not exactly energy saving in my humble opinion.
I also checked my desk: 85W, this includes the active speakers.
Other stuff:

Other stuff:
- label printer (idle): 4.9W
- compaq netbook: 30W
- wall transformer for IKEA light (idle): 4.9W
- nokia and samsung phone chargers: no reading
