powerpoint viewer

I have no intention to install an office suite on my netbook but occasionally a powerpoint file crops up so I installed the free viewer from microsoft.

Well, it didn't work, XP is in dutch and the only viewer I could find is english, the viewer simply refused to come up with no error message at all.

Fortunatly there is microsoft support on the web and lo and behold it is a known issue.

Surprise, there was already a 1033 folder which contained the dll. Now what...

The 1043 folder did not contain the ppvwintl.dll so I copied it there.
Works like a charm now.
