You can make all kind of visualizations with the Google Public Data Explorer.
The technology comes from gapminder.

I made this graph of the unemployment rate.

The government tells us we are doing well, the graph is leveling, we'll see.
Things look not very well for Spain,Portugal and Ireland though.
