and today..
As I was shooting the pictures two young, I guess american, girls asked for a mcdonalds or a kfc (kentucky fried chicken, I presume). Neither of these 'restaurants' are to be found in our city so I pointed them to the hamburger chain on the other side (the yellow building in the picure below). They realy looked like they were left on the edge of civilisation.

The old slides are on ORWO film, a cheap alternative to the major brands back then.
