I still have a few glossy telecom brochures from the late seventies.
The processor for this beast was 32 bit built from high speed TTL. Memory would have been 512K of magnetic core memory maximum. I/O was via paper tape and teletypes at 110bd. For high speed loading a magnetic tape reader was also available.
It is fun reading, the brochures present some details of how the system worked.
I even have a telephone from that era and if you think your mobile goes loud then you probably never heard a *real* telephone ring.
